GREYHOUNDS – THE BARON’S BEST RACING BET

The Baron has a good strike-rate with the dogs, and he believes Siddy Class will add to that tonight by winning Race 8 at the Gosford Greyhounds (Number 8).

Trained by the masterful Sid Swain, young Siddy Class is still a baby of the Greyhound world at 22 months of age, but he should make his presence felt at his seventh career start at Gosford over 515m. The Baron was impressed with his last start second to Lochinvar Curl at Gosford, which ran track record time. On that occasion Siddy Class ran 29.64 seconds, a time that would have been good enough to win the other seven 515m races on the program that night.

The son of Bombastic Shiraz has obviously impressed his trainer from the outset given he was entered for the strong Magic Maiden Series over the Easter carnival in town. The Baron sees the early speed runners Splash About, Daddy Yankee and Chasing Glory bring each other undone at the first turn with Siddy Class positioned safe out wide. If within striking distance down the back section, The Baron expects him to be extremely hard to hold out over the final stages.

The baron in recent weeks has tried maidens, hurdlers, honkers, WA racing and now the dogs as his best bet of the day. Is he trying to evade Adam?
Adam, any chance you can assess this form?

great to see The Baron’s focus at the dogs. The recommended price looks a bit ambitious.
